Dr. Frederick E. Miller joins OCD Chicago’s Scientific Advisory Board (“SAB”) which provides direction to OCD Chicago on medical and treatment matters and functions as an casual speakers bureau. Doctor. Miller is the Chair of the Department of Psychoanalysis and Behavioral Sciences at NorthShore College HealthSystem, a position he has held since 1999. Doctor. Miller also serves as medical director of the Phoenix Programme, which provides medicine management, short-term therapy, and case management for individuals with severe and obstinate mental sickness.
Doctor. Miller completed his undergraduate coaching at the University of Chicago, where he received a B.A. With honors. He also finished his graduate coaching at the University of Chicago completing both his doctoral coaching, in Pharmacological and Physical Sciences, while also earning a M.D. Degree with honors. Doctor. Miller completed his residency in Psychiatry at the College of Illinois where he served as Chief Resident.
He's the producer of 5 films on teen mental health, and the creator of “There’s No Such Creature as Crazy,” a film and internet based anti-stigma venture. His films have been the receivers of awards including a Telly Award and a SAMHSA Voice Award. He is the writer of many publications including articles on unclear loss suffered by folk with mental sickness and their families, and on stigma. OCD Chicago’s SAB is composed of nationally and globally known professionals in the treatment of OCD. The SAB is chaired by John Calamari, Ph.D. Who is a professor and the Chair of the Department of Psychology at Rosalind Franklin School. A subset of other noted members of OCD Chicago’s SAB includes Pamela Wiegartz, Ph. D, Director of CBT Services and Training, Department of Psychoanalysis, Brigham and Women’s Hospice, Boston ; and Mark A. OCD is a neurobiological disorder that has an effect on one in forty adults and one in 100 children of all racial cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
